The Beyond Junior® High Chair is a wooden high chair designed to grow with your child from infancy (6 months) all the way to adulthood. Simply remove the tray and footrest and adjust the size for a full-size chair. I did a decent amount of research before purchasing this high chair. What I didn't pay attention to was how narrow the tray is. Thankfully we have a dog who takes her clean-up job seriously. The buttons to adjust and remove the tray are difficult to push in with long nails. The hooks which attach the straps to the buckles are a constant source of frustration as they twist far too easily and require a lot more fiddling than it ought to. But, the biggest issue is the paint peeling. It's impossible to attach the plastic tray without it scratching of paint and the paint is peeling on the handles and sides. So, our 7-month-old high chair looks used and shabby. For the price, I'm disappointed! On the plus side, it's sturdy. I like the pads and they clean up easily. The latches which release and adjust the footrest and seat height are so easy - in sharp contrast to how difficult the tray is to detach. It will make a nice seat for my son as he grows, but isn't suitable for an adult.

This chair is beautiful and easy to change the size for my little guy. But the tray doesn’t come close enough to him and so the food falls on the seat, the straps and in between the plastic front piece and the chair. This requires frequent removal of the straps, as the buckles cannot be cleaned easily and I’ve had to use a spatula to get the food out of that crevice in the front. Either the seat back should tilt a little more forward or the tray should be able to slide closer for little littles.
